An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
